SHOWS

We have a good number of Shows throughout the Year offering a wide range of classes for our members. These include Showing, Showjumping, Gymkhana Games, Working Hunter, Handy Pony and In-Hand classes.

RALLIES

A Rally is basically a group Lesson aimed at providing our members with good quality tuition at a very reasonable cost. During the Summer months Rallies are held on the Club Field at a cost of just £5 per rider. All rallies must be booked in advance and late entries and no longer be guaranteed. We hold rallies at Blaby Mill Stables during the Winter Months at an average cost of £7. Please contact Julie Tilley (see links) for further details.

DRESSAGE

We hold six Dressage Competitons throughout the year and all of these are open to non-members. Our aim is to provide a friendly low key atomsphere making it ideal for novice and nervous riders, young horses and those trying Dressage for the first time. We run two Prelim and one Novice Test at each event. New for 2008 British Dressage have introduced a walk and trot test, we aim to hold this Class at each of our Dressage Dates. We also have a long Arena Day, a Combined Training Day and a Dressage to Music Training Class. Contact Julie Tilley (see contacts) for further details.

Test Sheets can be obtained from Isabel Meadows

SHOWING SHOW

2008 will see the fifth annual Misterton & District Riding Club Summer Showing Show. This Show is both open to non-members and adults.

There are In-Hand and Ridden Classes and we also hold qualifiers for the Ponies (UK) Summer Championships. The Show will be held at the Club Field on Sunday 3rd June. Schedules available March onwards, please send a S.A.E to Mrs I.K.Meadows, 1 Gwendoline Drive, Countesthorpe, Leics. LE8 5SH Members will recieve a schedule in the normal Members pack.

ODE

The Misterton Season usually ends with our ODE actually held over two days! This is always a very popular event and is great for all members including our very young and novice riders. Schedules will be available later in the year.

CLINICS

We are aiming to have a number of specialised clinics during 2008. Harry Payne will hopefully be taking some Dressage Clinics for us and we hope to have a repeat of the very successful Dressage to Music Clinics so keep an eye out for those!
